About this piece
The Cardholder No. 3 is one folded panel of 2 oz full-grain leather with three saddle-stitched seams. There is nothing glued and nothing to delaminate.
It is deliberately tight when new. Full-grain leather stretches to what you put in it and then stops — after a fortnight it holds four to six cards and releases them cleanly. If it were loose on day one it would be sloppy by month three.
The centre cut-out lets you thumb the stack upward instead of pinching at an edge.
What it holds
- Four to six cards
- A folded note behind the stack
Care & repair
- 1Condition once a year, sparingly.
- 2Expect it to darken unevenly where your thumb sits. That is correct.
Stitching and hardware are covered for 10 years from delivery against failure in normal use. Wear, patina, darkening and surface marks are not faults and are not covered — they are what the material does. Repairs outside the warranty are quoted before any work starts.

“I measured the Cardholder No. 3 against the dimensions on the page before I even unwrapped it. They were right, which is not something I can say about the last two bags I bought online.”
“Heavier than I expected — which the page does tell you, so that is on me. Everything else has been faultless.”
“It is the first bag I have owned where the empty weight was published. Sounds small. It is not, when you are at a 50 lb check-in limit.”
